We developed some funky stuff here on Crankfire, and we figure maybe some of it could be of use by itself.
This tool allows you to add coordinates data to a photo. Huh? Yeah. Ok, when you take a picture with your digital camera, it records a bunch of information (like the time, type of camera, shutter speed, etc. ) to each photo, we call this Exif data. Now with the
rise in popularity of GPSs, the Exif specification was expanded to allow coordinates to be jammed in there as well.
Provides sunrise, sunset, and twilight times for any specific zipcode and date.
Tries to turns an address into a latitude/longitude coordinate pair.
Provide latitude/longitude coordinates and we will try to return a street address for you. Useful for turning
trail parking coordinates into something you can easily use with your driving GPS.
Determine the altitude of a latitude longitude pair, or for simplicities sake, an address.
Pulling data from the NOAA's National Operational Hydrologic Remote Sensing Center, this tool allows you to set a date, tell us how many
days you want data for, then click on a map and we will query and calculate some precipitation statistics for you. Total precipiation,
precipitation by day, precipitation amounts for the past number of days along with the details about the weather station this data was collected from.
